To be roster compliant on minimum of 4 TE/HB, Oakland cuts Brandon Williams, CB Oakland picks up Eric Tomlinson, TE Thanks Walt Tomlinson is stlll playing with the Jets and has 6 - 111 (18.5) in NFL 2017. He has played in 12 games, giving him future value. The rules are clear, I thought. Chase Coffman is an example of a player with no current or future value. He has zero catches in 2016, a dur-1, and has not played in NFL 2017. He's unlikely to play again as he's already 30 years old. Maybe the trades during this last trade period should be restricted at this time to even trades of players on both sides? (Draft picks can be thrown in to even out deals). That way nobody has to cut anyone and nobody gets to pick up players and engender discussions about who has future value and how much? Hank Chargers

Self reporting: I only have three tight ends on the roster I inherited. Only had two, actually, and noticed I needed a long snapper when I joined, so added KC's TE - LS James Winchester as the third TE back in October through a request to Len.
I still need a fourth, apparently.
